What Is Belly Binding?
Belly Binding is an ancient Malaysian method of wrapping the postpartum mother’s abdomen with a long narrow piece light weight cloth. It is meant to be done while the Relaxin is still in the body to facilitate reshaping, ideally in the weeks following birth. It is believed to have roots in ancient Indian Ayurveda and has been practiced for thousands of years.
